My Qualifications

My name is Doug Mickle and I have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.  I had a career in engineering/manufacturing for over thirty years.  For the past seven years, I have been a licensed home inspector in North Carolina (#1672) while operating my business, HouseChek Inspections, Inc.  I am a member in good standing of the North Carolina Licensed Home Inspectors Association (NCLHIA) and the Outer Banks Association of Realtors (OBAR).

 I perform home inspections and commercial inspections on the Outer Banks (OBX) of North Carolina.  In Dare County that includes: Manteo, Wanchese, Avon, Rodanthe, Waves, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores and Duck.  The Currituck County communities covered include: Corolla, Corova, Harbinger, Point Harbor, Jarvisburg, Grandy, Currituck and Moyock.
